CISAF: Commission approves EUR 4.1 billion State aid scheme to support Hungarian cleantech manufacturing capacity
The Commission has approved a EUR 4.1 billion State aid scheme to support strategic investments in clean technology manufacturing in Hungary, contributing to strengthening Europe’s cleantech industrial base and accelerating the transition to a net-zero economy.
The scheme will support investments that add manufacturing capacity for net-zero technologies and their key components. Aid will be provided in the form of grants and tax advantages and will be open to companies across Hungary until 31 December 2030.
The Commission approved the measure under section 6.1 of the Clean Industrial Deal State Aid Framework (CISAF), concluding it is necessary, appropriate and proportionate, to accelerate the transition towards a net-zero economy.
