Commission approves €3 billion German State aid scheme to boost cleantech manufacturing
The aid scheme is aimed at supporting strategic investments to increase clean technology (cleantech) manufacturing capacity, in line with the objectives of the Clean Industrial Deal and the transition towards a net-zero economy.
The initiative was validated under the Clean Industrial Deal State Aid Framework (CISAF). It provides support in the form of grants, tax advantages, interest subsidies and loan guarantees for the production of net-zero technologies, their main components and related critical raw materials, excluding certain nuclear technologies.
The measure will be available to companies across Germany and may be granted until 31 December 2030, being appropriate and proportionate to facilitate the development of key economic activities and accelerate the EU’s clean industrial transition.
