Commission approves EUR 3 million Portuguese State aid for agricultural companies in the Azores facing increased fuel and fertiliser prices

The Portuguese scheme will support farmers in the Azores affected by increased fuel and fertiliser prices. It will run until 31 December 2026, with aid granted in the form of direct grants of up to EUR 50 000 per company.

The Commission assessed the schemes under Article 107(3)(c) TFEU and Sections 1 and 2.1 of the Middle East Crisis Temporary State Aid Framework (METSAF). It found that the schemes are necessary, appropriate and proportionate and do not adversely affect trading conditions to an extent contrary to the common interest.

The non-confidential decisions will be published under case numbers SA.125094 in the State aid register.
