Commission greenlights EUR 300 million State aid scheme for advisory services in agriculture in France
The Commission has approved a EUR 300 million scheme in France to support advisory services for companies active in the production, processing and marketing of agricultural products.
The aid will be delivered through subsidised advisory services linked to the objectives set out in Regulation (EU) 2021/2115, with a focus on modernising agriculture, improving access to knowledge and training, and promoting innovation and digitalisation. The scheme runs until 31 December 2032 and will mainly fund individual advisory services, while also supporting group services to reach a wider range of beneficiaries.
The Commission assessed the scheme under the Guidelines for State aid in the agricultural and forestry sectors in rural areas, concluding that it is necessary, appropriate and proportionate to encourage the use of advisory services.
