METSAF: Commission approves Slovenian State aid scheme for companies facing increased fuel prices
The EUR 500,000 scheme will last until 31 March 2027 and aims to support companies active in the agriculture, fishery and marine aquaculture sectors by mitigating the impact of the increase in fuel prices.
The aid will take the form of direct grants, covering up to 70% of the additional costs arising from market developments directly affected by the Middle East crisis and incurred during the eligible period.
The Commission assessed the amendment under Article 107(3)(c) TFEU and Sections 1 and 2.1 of the Middle East Crisis Temporary State Aid Framework (METSAF). It found that the amended scheme remains necessary, appropriate and proportionate and does not adversely affect trading conditions to an extent contrary to the common interest.
The decision will be made available under the case number SA.124890 in the State aid register.
