Second approval under CISAF: EUR 61.5 million Italian scheme to support cleantech manufacturing capacity

The Commission has approved a EUR 61.5 million Italian scheme to support strategic manufacturing investments in Emilia Romagna aligning with the Clean Industrial Deal and the EU’s net-zero transition.

The scheme provides grants, subsidised loans, and interest rate support for companies expanding production of net-zero technologies, key components, and critical raw materials. Aid can be granted until 31 December 2030.

The Commission approved the scheme under the Clean Industrial Deal State Aid Framework (CISAF), finding it appropriate, proportionate and necessary to accelerate the transition towards a net-zero economy and facilitate the development of certain economic activities, which are of importance for the implementation of the Clean Industrial Deal.
