CISAF: EUR 700 million Spanish scheme to support cleantech manufacturing capacity
The Commission has approved a EUR 700 million scheme to support strategic investments that add clean technology manufacturing capacity in Spain, contributing to the transition towards a net-zero economy and the Clean Industrial Deal’s objectives.
The scheme provides direct grants to support investments that expand manufacturing capacity for net-zero technologies and their key components, as listed in Annex II of the Clean Industrial Deal State Aid Framework (CISAF). The scheme is open to companies across Spain and will run until 31 December 2028.
The Commission found the measure complies with Section 6.1 of the CISAF, as it will promote the production of clean technologies and their main components. It concluded that the scheme is necessary, appropriate, and proportionate to support the net-zero transition and the Clean Industrial Deal.
